Join our family-environment choir with wonderful opportunities for Jewish women ages 25+ to express their talent and creativity. Auditioning for LAJLC means that you have the time and coach-ability to be a part of a dynamic, diverse group of ladies – a team in a sense – who are interested in the commitment, teamwork and professional arts of being part of our community choir. Here’s what it entails:
The Commitment
Learning to sing melodies and harmonies in multiple Jewish songs simultaneously
Daily practice during performance season
Promptly attending weekly 1.5 hours rehearsals
Performing publicly for small or large groups of Jewish women
Familiarity with Hebrew
The Teamwork
Openness to people
Ability to work as a team member to accomplish a goal
Ability to collaborate with peers and take directions from professionals within the choir
The Professional Arts
Being open to the guidance of professional vocal coaches
Ability to respectfully follow choir administration and directors on song choice and parts
Desire to lend your best talent to the greater whole
Strive to maximize voice quality and harmony with others in the group
